Hi all
I received my new Baby Loop from DX Engineering today and realized after opening the huge box it was not assembled like the online manual showed. No biggie I thought...
I inserted the included DVD into my computer thinking I would find some updated instructions to help me put it together and all I found was one small pdf file in Italian of instructions that did not match my loop.
No biggie I thought again... I'll get online and find the new instructions....Nope, only the older outdated instructions showing the Baby Loop coming out of a box fully assembled.
Well, I work with my hands for a living and proceeded to put it together and was successful...to a point. There are not enough bolts included to put the mast mount together. There are 4, not 8 that are needed. No biggie, I'll stop at the hardware store tomorrow.
The thing that I cannot figure out is how the actuator cable is used/connected. The cover to the little box on the side was barely screwed on so I removed it to find an open connector and no idea what to do with it. There is no other cable to connect to it.
Can anybody tell me what to do with it? I'll include pics...
Thanks in advance. 73's :-)
Well it worked and I am impressed. Thank you Adrian! I setup the antenna on a tripod 6 feet away from my radio desk and achieved low noise and perfect operation. I really didn't receive a thing and it seemed like the bands were completely dead but I'm sure that was just the temporary setup I was using. I'll get it up in the air over the next few days.
